In answer to popular demand, it has been decided to start up a Message Board for the site.
Hopefully this Board can become a forum for discussing all aspects of the League, new suggestions & ideas, feedback etc.
So to start if off, don't forget Finals Night this Thursday (18th May) and the upcoming AGM ... any ideas for next season ?

I agree with Mike great Idea. Two things, firstly if anyone has a trophy from last year, can they bring it along to Finals Night tonight if possible. Secondly, here's a letter which everyone will be sent eventually but might as well put it here as well.
North East Sports Quiz League
League Formation 2006/07
Dear All,
It has been confirmed that Castle & Anchor are withdrawing from the League for next season. At this stage, it looks unlikely that we will have any new teams. We have had interest from a team from Sunderland but they are concerned about the number and diversity of the sports involved in the quiz and in all probability will not be joining the League. Gateshead Fell are wanting to reform but it looks unlikely that they will be able to field a full team and therefore it is doubtful whether they will re-join the League for the coming season.
We are therefore left with 18 teams and a wide variety of potential League structures. There have been suggestions based on 3 Leagues of 6 teams, two Leagues of 9 and also a regional based structure. Nothing, as yet, has been definitely proposed by either Committee or member teams and we are open to any suggestions. The 18 remaining teams are :-
East End Liberal Club Leeholme Byker PTE Britannia Inn Kirk Merrington The Bene Ovington SC Blaydon RFC Philadelphia CC 'A' Morpeth Harriers Whitley Bay Old Shildon East End Nomads Saltwell SC Mount Pleasant Philadelphia CC 'B' St Teresa's Wolsington Hotel
It is more important than ever to try to get the structure right for the coming season. If anyone has any thoughts or wants to propose a potential League structure for the coming season, write to me at 17, Conway Close, Bedlington, Northumberland NE22 6NJ or E-Mail me at PFinch@northumberland.gov.uk. Look forward to seeing you all at the AGM.

I think we should encourage as many people as possible to use it. Paul.

Like the idea, just hope it's not used as some silly chat room like the NEPL cricket forum for example.
Keep it straight and to the point and it'l work well.
Good luck to all tonight at finals night, especially that nice lad from Philadelphia 'A' in the singles final!!!!
Remember "we thought you were nutse?" Mr Westerby. We do.

Glad to see the Message Board is being well used, 9 posts already! Just to lay out some ground rules though: - keep the subject matter relevant to the league - in the interests of courtesy, no anonymous postings - could posters identify themselves either by their name or team name
